Question The mighty Barri threaten Lebnen and America?

The Barri threaten Lebnen and America for signing a security agreement that may ensure that the USA will help Lebnen in case of security breach by anyone that may cause Lebnen to lose its land, sovereignty, freedom or democracy...

Like if the only state that endangers Lebnen’s security is israel, why the hell il’asstazzz is concerned?

Is it because the Barri and his pirates and mercenaries partners can’t sell israel the Litany to replace their bachar’s Golaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaan...

Berri Describes as 'Very Dangerous' the Alleged Signing of Saniora Government of Security Agreement with U.S. Embassy

Speaker Nabih Berri on Thursday stressed that the Media and Communications Parliamentary Committee will persistently follow up on the issue of the alleged security agreement with the U.S. Embassy.

In an interview with al-Manar TV network, Berri warned that if it appears that the ex-PM Fouad Saniora government had earlier signed the agreement, "then the issue will be very dangerous and it will lead to consequences."

On the other hand, Berri urged finding a mechanism for administrative appointments to ensure balance

Hajjar: ISF, Rifi do not come close to suspicion

March 13, 2010
-NOW Lebanon

Lebanon First bloc MP Mohammad al-Hajjar said on Saturday that the Internal Security Forces and its Director General Achraf Rifi do not even come close to suspicion.

This comes after several March 8 coalition figures, including head of the Media and Telecommunications Commission Hassan Fadlallah and Speaker Nabih Berri, criticized former Prime Minister Fouad Siniora’s cabinet for reportedly signing an agreement with Washington to supply long-term training and equipment to the army and ISF when the parliament was shut down from December 2006 until May 2008.

In an interview with Al-Mustaqbal newspaper published on Saturday, Rifi said the terms of the agreement were established in 2007, and circumstances in Lebanon at that time did not allow the cabinet to sign the agreement.

The government asked him to sign it, he said, and it was approved by the cabinet four days later.

“There are many false rumors against anyone trying to work in Lebanon’s favor,” said Hajjar, adding that the campaign against the ISF is futile. The ISF will continue to uncover espionage networks in Lebanon and provide citizens with security, he said.

He also touched on the Israeli threats to Lebanon, saying a “legitimate Lebanese decision” based on a joint Arab strategy should be behind any confrontation of the Jewish State.

Rifi defends signing US agreement to boost ISF, army

March 13, 2010
-NOW Lebanon

Internal Security Forces (ISF) Director General Ashraf Rifi told LBCI television on Saturday that he did not rush into signing an agreement with the US to enhance the ISF and Lebanese army.

He said he respects the cabinet’s authority and abides by its decisions.

“The US provided 50 million dollars, and then added 12 million dollars to establish a telephone network that the ISF needs,” Rifi said. He added that part of the donation was for technical support, and the other for training.

“The US sent a delegation to supervise budget spending, and it was installed in the US embassy as different groups - not just one.”

According to several reports, former Prime Minister Fouad Siniora’s cabinet signed an agreement with Washington to supply long-term training and equipment to the army and ISF when the parliament was shut down from December 2006 until May 2008.

In an interview with Al-Mustaqbal newspaper published on Saturday, Rifi said the agreement was planned in 2007, and that the circumstances in Lebanon at that time did not allow the cabinet to sign the agreement.

The government asked him to sign it, he said, and it was approved by the cabinet four days later.

Rifi told LBCI television that, by law, ISF members are not allowed to sympathize with a political party or be members of one. Unfortunately, he added, many are trying to accuse the ISF of bias based on political affiliation.

Question 7izzzballa's national battle...

Moussawi started a national battle to defeat arming Lebnen...

Moussawi: US agreement issue is national battle

March 12, 2010
-NOW Lebanon

Loyalty to the Resistance bloc MP Nawwaf al-Moussawi told New TV on Friday that getting to the bottom of the 2007 agreement signed between the Lebanese government and the US administration allegedly on security “is a national battle, [however,] it does not target Prime Minister Saad Hariri.”

Several March 8 coalition figures, including head of the Media and Telecommunications Commission Hassan Fadlallah and Speaker Nabih Berri, criticized former PM Fouad Siniora’s cabinet for reportedly signing the agreement in 2007 with the US embassy when the parliament was shut down from December 2006 until May 2008.

“The Media and Telecommunications Commission is in charge of investigating the case and will see it through,” Moussawi said.

He called for annulling all similar agreements, strengthening the role of the Internal Security Forces (ISF) and preventing US attempts to infiltrate it.

Moussawi also urged ISF Director General Major General Achraf Rifi “to look at the big picture” in response to Rifi’s comments – that he came under attack due to the agreement – so as to strengthen Lebanon’s sovereignty against US violations.
