Default geagea

Geagea on Saturday sent out strict instructions to the LF rank and file to cast their votes to the coalition lists with Saad Hariri's Tayyar Al Mustaqbal, Walid Jumblat's Progressive Socialist Party, Carlos Edde's National Bloc Party, Qornet Shahwan, Dory Chamoun's National Liberal party, Nassib Lahoud's Democratic Renewal
Movement, the Tripoli coalition and Elias Attallah's Democratic Left Movement.

If only le General had listened to Samir Geagea and the Patriarch back in 1989-90...

I expect Samir Geagea will be a new pole which the Kornet Shehwan independents and the different christian MP's gravitate around after he gets out....

Alex the Switch can not be a "marja3"... He is so ego-maniacial, and speaks from all sides of his mouth and ass.... I think Samir Geagea will try to play the role that Pierre Gemayyel and Kamil Chamoun used to play: not eliminate others, but be the strong christian leader whose opinion is asked by not only LF MP's but even independents in Kornet Shehwan....

He is playing it smart, and I expect him to emerge after his release as a person to reckoned with.

Well I knew after 11 years in prison the guy would have changed... actually it is kinda surprising me a little that he is asking this from LF members....
But why he is aking to vote for Elias Atallah ?? wasn't he fighting against them during the war ???

1958 ya lfpm.... But it was not an inter-christian ilgha2 war. It was an ideological pro-Baghdad pact (mostly christian) vs. pro-Nasser (mostly muslim)....

Check your history.

I am a Geagea supporter...
He was a fighter yes, and He knows what is war, and the mistakes done in the past. he learned a lot during his life, he was good in politics and organization, and he was among the first to jump on the opportinity for peace and recolciliation, and delivered his arms and weapons and work for democracy. But unfortunatly the syrian agents or lebanese ,I don't know who exactly, had another plans for lebanon.
He always take the hard decisions, against the stupid propaganda and "haleh cha3biyeh" if he notice that the haleh will lead to destruction. (ref Taef in 1989 and now).

I think he has a common thing with the martyr Rafik el hariri: both of them are always positive even in the very hard time.

Even during his imprisonment he doesn't want to revenge he just wants a true reconciliation, but unfortunatly Syrian agents have just found the typical general to join the first one and recreate a tension atmosphere btw the lebanese in order to demotivate us and to disturb our forces.

Don't listen to propaganda we are moving and making progress towards freedom and NEW LEBANON.
